Warrior Boys elicit praise from officials in dominant win

Coach Ted
The Warriors shut out the SN/SH Vaders through roughly 2  1/2 quarters, leading the officials to demand the scorekeepers cease adding their points to the main scoreboard.  This came on the heels of multiple ad-libbed official mandates regarding defensive restrictions placed upon OLPH.  After a flurry of SN / SH points, the final showed the Warriors on top by a clean 50-20 margin.

But the highlight most (surely I) will remember from this game was the praise of the Warriors' sportsmanship that was doled out by officials, and opposing parents and administrators.  It's easy to beat an out-personnel'd opponent; expected, especially in our Program for sure.  But the conduct demonstrated by all 12 boys made the coaches proud and surely serves as a tremendous example of a key pillar of the OLPH Community....Always remembering that our opponents work hard and put in time just as we do, and are entitled to respect and dignity, without exception.

Our lead official approached me before the post-game handshake to inform me how impressed he was with the class the boys showed.  I later overheard a school administrator say something to a parent along the lines of "well that team was really really good, but the boys were so nice to our boys and they did it the right way".  I passed along the Referee's message immediately, as I think they too should be proud of their conduct.
